Robert P. "Bob" Smith is the principal of RPS High Tech Consulting, providing expert advisory and consulting services to both start-up and established technology companies. He has over 30 years experience in the technology sector, ranging from semiconductors, design automation software, electronics manufacturing, and technical publishing. He started his hands-on career in analog and digital circuit design, then advanced to marketing, business development, and operational management positions.
Bob applies his larger corporate experiences from Hewlett Packard, American Microsystems, IKOS Systems, and Synopsys to contribute to the success of multiple start-up companies. He has served as VP of Marketing and Business Development in several electronic design automation software companies including LogicVision and Magma Design Automation, and has also served as a turn-around CEO (InTime Software) and as a start-up CEO (Stratosphere Solution).
Bob received his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UC Davis. Elected to Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society.
